"To ensure our association and the industry remain strong and continue to grow, we strive to support the attraction of qualified human resources to the industry in BC."
The ASHIR has two goals - this is the second. With the guidance of members on our HR Committee, we're working to achieve everything from high school driver training programs to a minimum occupational training standard for professional truck drivers. You'll find our policy positions related to HR on this page, and members receive updates on HR projects in our Bulletin newsletter and annual reports (see the HR section on this page for recent intiatives; the sidebar contains reports with details from 2012-2016).
Membership in BCTA gives carriers of all sizes and specialties the opportunity to provide input on their HR needs and participate in projects that can put them ahead in building and strengthening their own workforces.
